African Journey Part 4

In June and July of 2001, I journeyed to the continent of Africa and had the pleasure of having a profound life changing experience with the missionaries and children in Bungoma, Kenya.  Below is my story!

Here is a picture of the amazing landscape in Africa.  This land of contrasting beauty is what inspired me to pursue photography.  After two days of travel in an airplane and a third day to arrive to the guest house, I was finally in Africa.  Spectacular countryside was just one of the many wonders I would encounter, though.

Here is a picture of my new home for my stay in Africa!  Momma Doris is the missionary who lives here and takes care of the children.  She is a wonderful lady, and I wish everyone could get to meet her.

After arriving, the next day we met the orphan boys.  They live on the street until an orphanage can be built to house them.  Every day, they get one meal from the Bible School.  Before they eat, however, they get a bible story read to them.
